Sam Clarkson – Maths, Spanish, Geography and Science

I am an extremely approachable individual who has a natural ability for explaining and portraying difficult concepts in a more accessible and familiar light. I aim to deliver a friendly and constructive service, both assisting students and helping them to help themselves. Being an inquisitive person myself, I aim to help students explore ‘why’ and ‘how’ things are the way they are, not just ‘what’ they are, as I feel this is crucial to a proper understanding and has also been key to my own success in both school and sixth form college, where I achieved seven grade 9s and three grade 8s under the new GCSE specifications and three A* grades and one A grade in my A-levels.

I am currently taking a gap year before going on to study economics with Spanish at Leeds university since mathematics and Spanish have always been my strong points having achieved highly and undertaken extracurricular activities in both, hence I am able to deliver a high standard of tuition up to A-level. I also achieved highly in geography and physics, both being subjects I thoroughly enjoyed so am capable of tutoring in these too.
